Linda Rubietta was born and raised in Clearwater, Florida. This colorful tourist town was the perfect catalyst for sparking her creativity and imagination. She graduated with a B.F.A. in Graphic Design and Advertising from the University of South Florida and a M.F.A. in Fine Arts & Art History from Syracuse University.
Linda moved to the Midwest with her husband, Rick and daughter, Tracy, to pursue a career in advertising. Linda spent the next 30 years as an award-winning graphic designer, art director, and creative director in several major ad agencies. Her artwork varied from traditional to abstract, following her creative spirit where ever it took her.
Linda’s battle with cancer and chemotherapy inspired her to help others through their journey by creating The Chemo Survival Guide (2009), and laid the foundation for The Chemo Zone (2011). The Chemo Zone is an easy-to-use resource that provides patients with the tools to gain control through this stressful, challenging journey.
Co-author, grew-up in the Midwest, but spent her childhood traveling with her parents. Tracy earned a B.S. in Genetics & Cell Biology and a B.A. in Microbiology & American Indian Studies from the University of Minnesota. She graduated first in her class with an M.B.A. in Pharmaceutical Marketing from St. Joseph’s University (Philadelphia, PA). Tracy is a Clinical Oncology Sales Specialist for a leading Oncology Company.
Following Tracy’s loss of her mom and best friend, Linda Rubietta, she worked feverishly to complete Linda’s dream of providing a helpful resource for patients undergoing chemotherapy. It is with great pride, Tracy was able to author The Chemo Zone.
Tracy is an active member of various service organizations. She and her husband, Tom, are dedicated advocates to the awareness and prevention of cancer, and are proud supporters of several research initiatives with the same mission. Tracy resides in Minnesota with her husband and their two children.
